================================================================================
Genotyping
- is the thing which determines gene expression
================================================================================
Following differences are made from different genotyping
================================================================================
Why genotyping is different in each person?
It's because different SNP
================================================================================
Some person has T, some person has C, some person has G
================================================================================
In entire human genome, there are 10,000,000 SNPs
================================================================================
People have 99.9% of "same characteristic (or same gene)"
================================================================================
But each one has 0.1% of difference (or different gene, or SNP?)
================================================================================
================================================================================
Why different genetic expression on even sibling?
Siblig obtains different SNPs, creating different genetic characteristic
But they still have more genetic expression compared to others
================================================================================
If doctor can know the SNPs related to cancer,
doctor can perform preventive medicine or better treatments
Or, people can have better life style and dietary fit to their SNPs
================================================================================
SNP analyzing methods
1. Axiom method
- when customer wants to know over 500000 SNPs
- when over-100 number of samples are allowed
2. Fludigm method
- when customer wants to know around 50 SNPs
- when around 50 number of samples are allowed
================================================================================
You can know SNP information via "decoding DNA sequence"
================================================================================
Genotyping
- It only finds partially "interested SNP" from "known DNA sequence"
- Checks "disease information along with SNP"
================================================================================
================================================================================
Genotyping
Small sample
Short processing time
Cheap cost
compared to NGS
